This week's spotlight shines on Eva, Kewei, and Loy. These Grizzlies have been instrumental in welcoming the new English learners to Grapeland. They go above and beyond to make sure the students feel welcomed and help with needs inside and outside of the classroom.
Mr. Pilawski, a Caryn 5th grade teacher, was inspired to become a teacher by Mr. Brody, his high school English teacher. Mr. Brody taught with care and concern for his students. Mr. Pilawski recalls not only his academic but also his life teachings.

Some of our Etiwanda teachers were asked why they became teachers. Ms. Ly, a fourth-grade teacher from Solorio, became a teacher to help others, to teach beyond academics, and to share important life skills and lessons.

This week at summer school, Mrs. Herrera's class at Falcon Ridge had a theme of traveling the world. Their first destination was Canada, where they drew beavers and had authentic maple syrup.

This week's student spotlight shines on Regan, an EIS Wildcat. Regan is always motivating the students in her class. She stays late and, without being asked, helps her teacher. Good job Regan!
This week's friendship spotlight is on Avery and Elyssa, both Colony Cubs. To them, friendship means being kind and considerate of each other. Also, knowing that a friend is a special person that is always there for you and fun to be around.
