Our exciting author event is almost here! On Friday, September 8th, author Melissa de la Cruz will be present at our Escape Room Author Night at Barnes & Noble in Rancho Cucamonga from 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m. This fun-filled event supports our school libraries, and there will be activity stations, puzzles, and drawings. Attendees can earn an opportunity to meet Melissa de la Cruz for an autograph by purchasing her newest book, The Super Secret Octagon Valley Society. A percentage of in-store sales from this event will benefit our school libraries.
In observance of Labor Day, the district office and all school sites will be closed today.

The Cuaresma family is giving a huge high five to Mr. Lautenslager and his staff at Windrows Elementary. They appreciate each of them coming out daily for drop-off and dismissal time to help open the doors for the students, helping if they need help, and asking and giving them assurance by sharing morning smiles and greetings! Under the heat of the sun, you'll even see them walking and sending the kids off to their cars so they won’t be exposed to the sun. What a beautiful sight of kindness to watch!
Mr. Beitler and Mrs. Styles from Grapeland Elementary are getting a high five today from the Smith family. They appreciate how warm and welcoming both of them are by always greeting the students with smiles and, for many, on a first-name basis. Katty and Jenny are working behind the scenes at Etiwanda Colony making sure the PBIS store is ready for the students. These incredible women put forth endless effort to maintain the PBIS inventory and constantly try to buy things that the students want. The Colony cubs undoubtedly appreciate them and everything they do.
