Mrs. Henry's class at C.P. Lightfoot Elementary had an exciting time learning about Mexican Folk Art in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! The students explored the vibrant colors and intricate designs of this beautiful art style, especially focusing on pottery and artwork. Afterward, they created their own folk art roosters through a fun directed drawing activity! So proud of their creativity!

High Five to Golden Elementary families for their amazing participation in the PTA Membership Drive contest! Huge congratulations to Mrs. Green’s and Mrs. Chu’s classes for winning the challenge and turning our Principal and Vice Principal into human ice cream sundaes! The entire school reached the PTA goal of 100% participation, so every class enjoyed ice cream sundaes before the big event! Mrs. Schauer's Kindergarten class at East Heritage had a special celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month! They had a parent visit and read two amazing books— Super Torta! and Selena. The students loved learning about Selena and could even relate to her music. After story time, they got up and danced to one of her songs! Such a fun and memorable day honoring culture, music, and stories that connect us all.
